Afraid of change? Don’t leave your comfort zone, take it with you!

When we’re making changes in our lives, we’re often told we have to “leave our comfort zone.”

But looking at it that way makes an already scary change feel even scarier. We’re told we have to leap into the unknown.

Yikes.

Try this instead. Instead of leaving your comfort zone, take your comfort zone with you. Your comfort zone is:

  • Your past experiences and successes.

  • Your friends, family, and professional network.

  • Your creativity and resourcefulness.

  • Your knowledge and skills.

  • Your ability to seek out and gather the information and resources you need to make the change.

  • Belief in your ability to figure it out as you go, and ask for help when you need it.

And with your comfort zone securely wrapped around you, you can more confidently take one small step in the direction of the change you desire in your life.

And instead of leaving your comfort zone, you’ve EXPAND your comfort zone – and your possibilities.
