Nicole and her horse Stella.

Who I am. What I do. Why I do it.

Hello! My name is Nicole and I was first introduced to the power of coaching during a leadership training certification program.

From the moment the instructor said, “in coaching, the client is the expert in their own life” I was hooked. Not only did it feel empowering, I knew it was true.

I love helping others reclaim their lives and break through old patterns and self-limiting beliefs.

I love helping people get courageous, take up more space, and find more freedom and fun in their lives.

Most of all, I love helping people learn to trust themselves again.

So, where do the horses come in?

In February of 2020, I began volunteering at a horse sanctuary. As I spent time with the horses, I noticed many positive changes in myself. I felt more grounded and confident. I become more comfortable communicating my wants and needs. I saw the horses responding most positively when I was authentic and honest about my emotions. They did not judge my feelings as positive or negative.

I was impressed with their gentle presence, honesty and emotional intelligence.

I wanted to find a way to share their horse sense with others, so I became certified in equine experiential education and coaching through E3A. In addition, I completed my coaching certification with Coach Training Alliance.

Today, I offer equine assisted workshops for women at Liberty Lane Stables in Elkhorn, WI and also create and facilitate customized equine-assisted personal and professional development workshops for companies and service organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Note: No riding or horse experience is required to participate in equine assisted coaching and learning experiences. All activities with the horses are done with both feet on the ground.

What do horses bring to a coaching experience?

  • Empathic and honest.

As prey and herd animals, horses are acutely aware of our emotional, mental and energetic states. They naturally perceive this information and immediately reflect it back to us, helping us to see ourselves more clearly.

  • Non-judgmental.

Horses see and accept us as we are, without judgment or bias. In turn, their acceptance of us provides us clarity about ourselves. This frees us to take on new challenges, with a greater recognition of what we are capable of achieving.

  • Always present.

Unlike humans, who are easily distracted by their own thoughts and emotions, horses live in the moment and can be with us 100%. They are excellent listeners.
